Get to Know Me

Real estate isn't just about finding the right home – it's about connecting you with the right community.

A native Atlantan and Decatur High grad, I've lived along the Ponce Corridor for decades, calling Winnona Park, Old 4th Ward, and Virginia Highland "home." My wife and I have raised three little McKenzies here, navigated 9 years of daycare (thank you DHCDC), and are proud parents of three Virginia Highland (VHE) Owls. We've done the research, made the mistakes, and learned what makes InTown Atlanta special.

New to the city? I can help you navigate the Public school landscape - APS, City Schools of Decatur, DeKalb County Schools and am well-versed in the private School scene as well.

Ask me about soccer leagues, tennis (ALTA) teams, pickleball gatherings, and the best golf courses to squeeze in a quick round. Curious about neighborhood festivals and where to actually meet your neighbors? Let's talk – I know these InTown communities inside and out. I'm also an avid investor and currently own 23 doors in and around Atlanta. I'd love to help you build wealth through Real Estate as well.

As co-founder and principal of the Atlanta Turtle Group, our clients are at the heart of everything we do. Our fundamental philosophy is simple: "Create clients for life, who create clients for life." We're not chasing transactions; we're building relationships.

Whether you're buying, selling, investing, staying put, or just curious about the market – let's grab coffee and talk shop. I love being part of the conversation and creating clients for life.
What Our Clients Say

We've worked with Ben and the Turtle Group twice now to purchase houses and could not recommend them more. They do a wonderful job understanding your unique needs as a client and making sure the listings you explore are aligned. Amy has also been so incredibly helpful in getting our current house prepared for listing. Turtle Group is incredibly family-friendly, and in between the times we've been buying ...

What Our Clients Say

Amy Bailey and Ben McKenzie were both super knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive. The entire Atlanta Turtle Group did their best to guide my family and me through a very stressful situation, buying a new home while selling our old one under contingency.

What Our Clients Say

Ben McKenzie is knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, and helpful with the process from A to Z. He knows Atlanta street by street. He asked all the right questions and had a keen eye as we toured homes and navigated the inspection or due diligence. Amy Bailey was also extremely helpful with the escrow and closing phases. I highly recommend Ben, Amy, and everyone at the Turtle Group.

What Our Clients Say

Ben has been incredible, highly recommended! This was my first house purchase, so I was quite nervous about the process and tried a few realtors before landing on Ben. The experience with him has been the smoothest, starting from our very first meeting. As I was not sure of what type of house I wanted to buy, he helped me tour a few different styles of properties to understand which one was more suited t...

What Our Clients Say

I would highly recommend Ben and Atlanta Turtle Group. We have bought two homes and sold one with Ben, and the process went smoothly all three times. Each time, Ben seamlessly connected us with the right professionals for inspections, mortgages, and closings. Our latest purchase would have never happened without him because we viewed the home pre-market. We were able to quickly submit an offer and go und...

What Our Clients Say

When we made the decision to sell the home we'd loved for 14 years, we knew the process would be daunting. Navigating the timing of selling and buying, narrowing our search for a new home, and understanding the maze of financing all felt overwhelming at the start. Choosing Ben and the team at Atlanta Turtle Group to guide us through it was, without question, the best decision we made. Ben helped us buy o...
